In the first Korean restaurant Soraksans you
will enjoy the mood of a real Korean. To do this, you should use the
banquet hall for 8-10 persons. You cannot sit on the pillows put on
the floor unless you have taken your shoes off. In Korea the men are
usually sitting with their legs crossed but the women are squatting
on their legs. However, for a European to be able to sit there ,
there is a dint under the table to where you can stretch your legs
conveniently. While waiting for a meal you may listen to the Korean
national music or enjoy the Korean souvenirs. Everything is so
exciting here, starting from the marble pads for styles and ending
with small phials intended for rice wine or spirit. There is a doll
dressed in the national costume on the window-sill as well as the
abacus which is very much different from the ones we are used to.
There are papyrus paintings with tigers on the walls, which guard
this place. Moreover, one of the walls has been painted by the owner
of the restaurant. To see this and much more, you are welcome to
visit the Korean restaurant Soraksans at Miesnieku iela 12.
